   Hello All.

In the sample for the NODES.CFG the line reads:

   #node 5047/999 hostname;* passwword c

   What does the * signify?

Is there or is there not a space before the password?
The last character, the flavour, if it is a c, does that mean that binkd will
crash whatever is in the outbound directory for that node, regardless of the
flavour of the .flo file? All mine are .hlo and the actual flavor is set
(presently) in my IRex configuration. I am thinking correctly here?

What do I do with the 2 Points I have that do not have an internet address
since they don't run a BBS type server? My NODES.CFG line for them looks like
   this:

   node 1:396/45.27 0.0.0.0; xxxxxxx h
   node 1:396/45.28 0.0.0.0; xxxxxxx h

The only thing I could think of to put for an address was the 0.0.0.0. Is
this correct? On that same 2 lines you can see what I was asking about for
the password; is that leading space supposed to be there - it doesn't seem
right and the one known node whose password I cut-and-pasted from his entry in
the IRex configuration was met with:

   -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-CUT-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

   -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-CUT-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

The only possible reason I can think of it that space in the NODES.CFG file
   after the semicolon.

   My configuration reads:

   domain fidonet Q:\\fido_out 1

Not sure that that "1" is for. (?)

The tree of that directory looks like this:

   +--Fido_Out
       +--filehold
       +--Out
            +--018C002D.PNT
       +--OUT.002
       +--OUT.003
       +--OUT.004
       +--OUT.005
       +--OUT.006

Will binkd see all the actual outbound directories? Or is there something
else that belongs in the outbound directory designation in the binkd.cfg file?

Any help or observations will be appreciated.

   Best regards,
   Marc
