   And BinkP is used for transporting... mail. But that's really irrelevant.   
   Whatever the data is that you want to be kept private, Implicit TLS is   
   superior to Oportunistic / Explicit TLS (e.g. STARTTLS).

   Knowledge about what? Security experts don't like STARTTLS. BinkP implementers   
   don't like STARTTLS. That's the people that matter.
