   I think that was several years ago now, so maybe the tune has changed, but my   
   understanding was that they thought RIP had value to the mobile market (They   
   may not have been wrong if they'd actually decided to, you know, DO anything   
   with it) and hence wanted mega bucks for anything related (searchlight,   
   ripterm/tel, et al).
