   eCS started in exactly the same manner... there's no work in certain areas   
   being done as that wasn't licensed... i think the kernel is one of those   
   areas... most everything else, though, can be worked on... i don't know about   
   BL's licensing... they may have gone the extra distance and gotten kernel   
   rights... either way, eCS /is/ OS/2 with slightly newer clothes...
