Ok thanks for the replies.               I added a line to my Windows HOSTS file that points       darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org to my 192.168.xx.xxx address.              So Now I *CAN* access the BBS via Firefox, telnet and FTP using       darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org              WooHoo.              But isnt that because when I added that line to the hosts file I am       tricking my local computer with that one line I added?               I still can't access the BBS by typing the external IP ( like what       shows up when I go to whatismyip.com)               According to thr DynDNS auto update app my current Dynamic IP is       208.126.52.202              I took my PC out of the DMZ now too. It was only in the DMZ about 6       hours while I was testing all this stuff. I hope now that it is in       the firewall again the BBS is still able to be found.       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: >> diskshop >> bbs.diskshop.ca >> http.telnet.nntp (1:250/501)    |
