I am trying to setup a BBS but have run into a couple issues. With my
ADSL modem/router and my wireless router.

My telco provided me with the Comtrend CT-5621 ADSL modem/router. And
i have a wireless router since I use all laptops now. So I have the
D-link DIR 615. The Dlink has the March 1, 2010 Firmware. The
Comtrend ADSL router I'm not even supposed to be able to access.
SHHHHHHH..... I found the admin login/password online. Root/12345.
Haaha So I did upgrade the firmware in the Comtrend too.
Anywho I think since the Comtrend is a router it is fighting with the
   DIR 615 for control/ routing.

My Dyndns web address for the BBS is
    http:// darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org

The issue is when I log in using my local ip address ( 192.168.0.xxx)
I have no issue. But if I try to log into Synchronet using the
darkhandofpooh address the web page times out EVERY time. Also if I
attempt to telnet using the Darkhandofpooh address it says it cant
login. But local telnet is ok.

Here is the kicker. Even though Firefox never shows the BBS when I
try to load http://darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org/ the Synchronet log
   shows the following:

    7/17 04:58:36p 0956 HTTP connection accepted from: 192.168.0.101
   port 61936
     7/17 04:58:36p 0956 Session thread started
     7/17 04:58:36p 0956 Session thread terminated (0 clients, 1
   threads remain, 110 served)
     7/17 04:58:39p 0972 HTTP connection accepted from: 192.168.0.101
   port 61936
     7/17 04:58:39p 0972 Session thread started
     7/17 04:58:39p 0972 Session thread terminated (0 clients, 1
   threads remain, 111 served)
     7/17 04:58:45p 1128 HTTP connection accepted from: 192.168.0.101
   port 61936
     7/17 04:58:45p 1128 Session thread started
     7/17 04:58:45p 1128 Session thread terminated (0 clients, 1
   threads remain, 112 served)

I wasn't loading from 192.168.0.101 I was online and typed in
http://darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org/ but the log shows " HTTP
connection accepted from: 192.168.0.101" I did that just right now.

Same goes for Telnet even though on my side when I try to telnet to

   darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org

   I see

   Microsoft Telnet> open darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org
Connecting To darkhandofpooh.servebbs.org...Could not open connection
   to the hos
t, on port 23: Connect failed

   The log shows

Can anyone help me out? I am trying to figure out why the log shows
activity locally when I attempt to connect using the dyndns address
and I never see an actual connect.

Feel free to try to connect.

   Thanks.
