   I think I switched just before we moved from KY back to NY.. The earliest date   
   I have on this system is 1994, but I'm not sure if that's when the swap was   
   made... It would seem later to me.   
      
   All I remember about BBBS back then was that I had USRobotics waiting in the   
   wings tapping their fingers until I made the switch from Maximus/OS2 to Linux   
   and BBBS :) (because of the FileGate)... It took me three days to make that   
   switch, and I wouldn't let anyone in the house talk to me until it was done   
   Lol.   
      
   I followed Warren's HOWTOBBBS for the most part (thank goodness for that   
   document :) )   
      
   The message echos and file areas weren't hard to set up.. it took me a while   
   to get some of the daemons going though, I remember that.  Linux was very much   
   like OS2, but just different "enough" .  I never ran the OS/2 version of   
   BBBS though, I hadn't even heard of BBBS until I decided to switch to Linux and   
   started looking for native bbs software.
