Hi Rich,              > Is there a way to batch add files to my file areas using command line or do I       >have to upload each one separately? I looked in the sysop manual and didn't se       > the option... Thanks,       > Rich              1 - If you have descriptions in files.bbs files, you can rename the files.bbs       to descript.ion (some editing will probably be necessary since files.bbs can       be multiple lines, but bbbs's descript.ion format is: filename.zip [long       description up to 750 chars]        ^        Space              2- The other thing you can do is if the files have file_id.diz files in them,       you can go to a file area, and type:               des -a *.*              That will add all the files in that directory, and grab the description of       each file from it's file_id.diz.              3- if a file doesn't have a file_id.diz in the archive, you can type:        des *.*       and you'll be prompted for a manual description for the file that you type in.              Hope this helps.. maybe someone knows another way I'm not thinking about. :)              Take care,       Janis              --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-1        * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38)    |
