End of story. Kim has explained it to me, and there is        TM> nothing that can be done about it appearently.              First off, I just about guarantee you DOS doors can be run in Linux. As long       as you're able to run a shell script or executable from the BBS itself, it's       possible. Dosemu is the only program that will work for multinode use,       though. Dosemu handles executing the door game, all you have to do from the       BBS is launch Dosemu and pass one or two arguments (like the node number, for       example) and the game you're executing. Batch files handled by Dosemu can       handle the rest. If BBBS can do the above, it is VERY possible.              As for Windows.. if you're running a 32bit version of Windows, it should also       be possible. 64 bit windows gave up all support for 16 bit programs. So it is       not the fault of BBBS, but Windows itself.              Most people dedicate a somewhat simple system to running a BBS (as far as       specs are concerned). If you have less than 4gb RAM, there is no need to run       a 64bit operating system. Using a 32 bit version of Windows should work fine       running DOS doors with any BBS software, without the use of any kind of DOS       emulator whatsoever.              Maybe that will give some "hope" to new coming sysops wanting to run BBBS       with DOS door games. But it probably shouldn't be passed around that it's       completely impossible -- unless the BBS software itself is at fault for the       reasons.              Regards,       Nick              --- Mystic BBS v1.10 A38 (Linux)        * Origin: Dark Sorrow | telnet://bbs.darksorrow.us (1:154/701)    |
