   Doors that work here..

   Hi Torbjorn,

   >>> Mine in Windows are (ONLY bz based ones):

   [...]

   >> Right, I have that one here too but it's not finished. I should install
   >> MiniBalls, I have it here somewhere .

   > :-)

   Bah humbug, that one needs some work..That's why it's not running here. I get
   an error with the characters called in a pile of lines, starting with line
   number 148:

   mb3c.bz:148: Error: Invalid character 017 in string

   That one, and character 021, 020, and 033. I have to remember how I fixed
   such things in other bz scripts :) :) IIRC, it was something simple.

   >>>> Some of these above are doors converted to Linux: TimePort
   >>>> PimpWars
   >>>> SmurfWars

   >>> Will not work in Windows based systems. :-(
   >> Ok...I don't know since I've never run BBBS on Windows :)

   > I know, that's why I wanted to share it with you. :-)

   Ok, understand. I use this for example, with timeport:

         case 8:{
                logdoor(6);
                make_doorsys(sprintf("./timeport/door%u.sys",bv_nodenumber));
                system(sprintf("./timeport/timeport N%u",bv_nodenumber),1,0);
                system("./doors/topdoor -t time",1,0);
                break;
                }

   Something like that doesn't work for you with the dos version of TimePort?

   >>>> The version of BBBS I run (linux) came with TicTacToe versions above
   >>> Not so with Windows versions. :-(
   >> You don't see the .bz in the scripts directory, but calls to tictactoe v1, 2
   >> and 3 work here... Topdoor has always worked as well. Anyway, here's how I
   >> call tictactoe and topdoor:

   > Ah.... I had completely forgotten.... I see it now though, looking at the
   > original opendoors.bz script. :-) It's been forever since I removed them in
   > place for all the funny DOS based doors I used to have back in the old days.
   > They all had to go when I moved to Windows, and I didn't took them back :-) I
   > aplogize.... I'm beginning to get old. :-)

   :) Well, I remember having to do that as well when I was running OS/2.. all
   the doors I had registred were no good anymore It was worth it to me
   though, OS/2 was so nice back then.. then when I switched to Linux, I was
   happy to find a number of DOS doors that had been ported to Linux like
   TimePort, TopDoor, PimpWars, and the others I mentioned up above.

   >> Like I said, I've never run the Windows version but you know.. maybe between
   >>Rich and I we can get at least the built-in ones and bz coded ones working fo
   >> him.

   > Should work if the opendoor.bz is correctly configured and compiled. :-)

   Yes, think so.

   >>One of these days I'll get back to the Yatzee game I was working on .. I hope
   >> :) :)

   > Who wants to play Yatzee on a BBS?.... Who really wants to play anything on a
   > BBS these days?

   I have about 5 users that still log on here for games.. not like the old days,
   I'll grant you that :) :)

   Take care,
   Janis
