-> If I ant to use BBBS' internal email capabilities... and route they email       thru       -> my isp can the commandline to send email out also include my username and       -> password? My isp requires it... or should I not use BBBS' internal email?              It might depend on your internet provider. If you don't have a static       IP address like I do here, then you will most likely have to use your       ISP's SMTP server as a "smart host," otherwise, a lot of places will       reject your email as their spam filters would detect it as coming from a       static IP address. However, if you WANTED to route your email through a       static IP address and your dynamic address does not change that often,       well, then maybe we can talk and I can help you out here as I will       happily act as a smart host relay for any established sysops through my       Linux-based SMTP server that I have here.              Just ask :)                     --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5        * Origin: Omicron Theta * Memphis, TN * bbs.rivernet.us (1:116/18)    |
