   in most cases, not... the facilities do not give enough "room" to be able to   
   split off just that which pertains to one app... all *nix systems that i've   
   worked with have mixed things when different logs are tried and some form of   
   filtering (generally via regex) must be used to break out only those entries   
   for the app in question when analysis is desired...
