   Yes, he can autoadd areas without a .na, or whatever file.. It's controlled by   
   a section of external.bbb like this:   
      
   [badecho]   
   1:140/1 . 1:261/38  ISO ISO 0  X fido. [Downlinks to include when tossed]   
      
   That was the first example I gave him to autoadd.  So anything new from   
   1:140/1 (one of my uplinks) gets auto added when I tell bbbs to import the   
   stuff.

   You only need empty areas if you don't have any set up already.. I always   
   create maybe 5 more anytime I auto areas.  All it takes is pressing u a number   
   of times to add "unnamed" areas in the Bcfg4->Global->Confs section.
