   sounds like BBBS opens the port handle in DENY ALL mode... this is like when   
   opening files... you can open them in READ, WRITE or READ/WRITE with or   
   without DENY... without DENY allows other software to access the same file at   
   the same time... it should be a simple attribute set in the code that opens   
   the port to fix it... but that's an eWAG (educated wild arsed guess) ;)
