|    BBBS and DOS Doors    |
|    12 Mar 13 16:18:00    |
      > Hi Jon,              > I run a couple doors written for Linux, and some written with BBBS's internal       > language.              >I've never used DOSEMU to run DOS doors under BBBS for linux, but I think some       >have.. Sean Rima I think did get it to work but unfortunely he's left fidonet.              I run DOSEMU for my Synchronet system. Perhaps, if I tried I could write a       how-to for others that enjoy classic dos door gaming. That's a long shot,       SBBS supports DOSEMU internally and doesn't require much. Maybe I can find       some info on the net and work out a script. I'd like to first, get a couple       doors working on Linux first. I've been wanting to narrow my system to one       BBS as having two offers a limited benefit, if I could combine the two into       one package, there might be a little more usage. My main concern is       maintaining my end of Fidonet as my primary duty, then there are the other       networks I'm affiliated with then the games. I'll get something figured out,       for now I'll keep the two. Still waiting to hear from Kim about adding more       nodes, time can get busy, so I'm patient.              >>> on every one it working this door perfect only not on BBBS ....              >>Seems like a problem with BBBS. I'm interested in finding the solution to th       >> as well.              > I could be wrong, but I think Rudi _did_ get the doors to work on his windows       > system finally yesterday.. He netmailed me to let me know.              Sounds good, glad he got it working. I use both Windows/Linux respectively.        I'm satisfied finally with my setup and requires little upkeep except what I       want to do with it in my spare time and to add things here and there.              Sincerely,       Jon Justvig       R14C (1:298/5)              --- BBBS/LiI v4.10 Dada-1        * Origin: Nightfall Ordain -- http://vintagebbsing.com:8080 (1:298/5)    |
