   That could be from the lack of username/password to your nntp server I guess..

   Before we moved, I did have to use a username and password for newsgroup   
   access..   
      
   From sysop.txt and sysop.gui:   
      
   "If your news server require you can replace host with host,username or   
   host,username,password to send extra authinfo commands."   
      
   so when I needed to specify username/passwords, I did it like this:   
      
   #!/bin/sh   
   cd /home/bbbs   
   ./bbbs bnntp w 1 host,username,password ./bbbs bnntp r 1 host,us   
   rname,password ./bbbs bogus r   
      
   Make sure you set up the areas you get in bcfg4->conference-> NNTPhost: [1]   
   (host number 1) before you start importing the messages..
