At       > least my wife will be happy as she       > still uses it and no we will NOT be getting W8 or any box with it.              I'm very reluctant to W8 myself. Tried the new Office 2013 today on a spare       system here, full Metro GUI, horrible.... I will stick with W7 for quite some       time on most of my systems. :-)              Still, Windows desktop software is not suitable for hosting BBS systems. BBBS       runs well on Windows NT 4.0 server, 2003 server and also on 2008R2 (64 bit)       server, except for the ftp issue which I never bothered to figure out, and a       few other issues (Shelling and DOS doors). MS desktop systems has a limit to       how many simultanious network connections it can handle (max 10 on XP, 20 on       W7), and that may very well be part of Rudi's ftp issue with his BBBS on XP?              Torbjørn              --- BBBS/NT v4.10 Dada-1        * Origin: Circle Of Protection (2:211/37)    |
