   This is a normal function for FTP. I run pureftpd here on linux, and in   
   order to accept passive connections you have to open passive ports. I use   
   20000-20005. Have you ever tried to connect to your BBBS FTP server in   
   passive mode from somewhere outside your network?   
      
   Either way, opening port 21 for FTP should accept active connections. Rudi   
   had some other issue there, and it's probably on his side. Unfortunately,   
   he was too quick to get mad at it and react by switching BBS softwares..   
   again.   
      
   How's the status on that TORNADO echo these days (never added it here)? :)
