|    Polling Loop?    |
|    04 Jun 17 17:28:02    |
Hello There,                     I have been having a popping loop issue between BBBS and Mystic. I have both       BBBS and Mystic setup on separate machines here. I did a test with BBBS and       Mystic here. As a base I made sure that there was no mail/files waiting in       BBBS's outbound to go out to Mystic (1:282/1032). I did a queue check       and I got:              Nodenumber Age Flags Bad Busy Msgs ArcMail Files       ---------- --- ------ --- ---- ---- ------- -------              I did a manual poll in BBBS to poll 1:282/1032. The poll showed up in the       queue as it should:              Nodenumber Age Flags Bad Busy Msgs ArcMail Files       ---------- --- --------- --- ---- ---- ------- -------       1:282/1032.0 0 IC D 0 0 1 0kB 0kB              BBBS polled Mystic (1:282/1032) as it should of. Once the poll was completed       BBBS polled Mystic again repeatedly. Until I deleted the poll from the queue.       At which time BBBS immediately stopped polling. It seems that either BBBS       doesn't see the poll as having been completed and then deleting the poll from       the queue. Or Mystic isn't terminating the connection in a manner that BBBS is       properly recognizing. I include Mystic primarily because this polling loop       behavior only seems to happen when BBBS connects to Mystic systems. I have       polled a variety of other non Mystic systems and have never seen this behavior.               I had resisted posting on the matter in the Mystic or BBBS echos as I didn't       want it to seem like I was bashing either piece of software. But... Maybe if I       do, it might draw more attention to the matter from others. I feel it is       important       to note that I am also in discussion with Kim on the matter.                     Jeff              --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-3        * Origin: The OuijaBoard - Anoka, MN (1:282/1031)    |
