|    FTP Fido via BBBS?    |

Hello ROBERT.              22 Apr 16 01:45, you wrote to me:               RW> -=> Jeff Smith wrote to All <=-               JS>> I guess I never paid that much attention. Is BBBS capable of        JS>> providing a Fido or FTN feed via FTP? I had a recent request for        JS>> an FTP feed but haven't upto this point looked at that        JS>> capability. Least not since the John Souvestre days.               JS>> I know that BBBS can call out via FTP. I have written several        JS>> bash scripts that will do that. But haven't looked at BBBS being        JS>> capable of feeding downlinks via FTP. I have ProFTPd installed        JS>> but it is a little overkill for the task. Anyone have thoughts?               RW> The answer to your question, to the best of my knowledge, is no. To        RW> do this, you would need a third party FTP server running and scripts        RW> written to move mail packets to and from your BBBS machine.              Yeah. I went ahead and setup ProFTPd to use Linux's own user authentication       abilities to control ftp user access. Each ftp user is limited to their       particular ftp home directory and it's subs. Then BBBS's tosser puts and       looks in the ftp user(s) subs when tossing.               RW> ...
