      >> Hi Jeff,       >>>>> I get Ubuntu installed I will need to do some testing to try to avoid any       >>>>> operational issues.              >>>> Hope it goes ok, which version of Ubuntu do you plan to go with?              >>>I'm looking at installing Ubuntu v15.04 64 Bit. I have grabbed and burned bo       >>>the Desktop and Server versions. Know of any pros or cons of either for BBBS       >>> use?              >>Not that I have heard... but like I said I'm still running an older version o       > Ubuntu.              >I opted for the desktop version of Ubuntu. I installed it on a SSD drive. It i       >surprizingly quick. From the time I turn the PC on the Ubuntu desktop is on th       > screen in less that 15 seconds. Haven't decided if BBBS will be on the SSD       > drive or on the larger TB drives.              I noticed that when installing Ubuntu v15.04 I have problems mounting       additional       HDD's. Ubuntu errors out during bootup after fstab is edited to mount the       partitioned and formated HD. This HD mounted fine with v14.10 of Ubuntu on the       same PC. I am mounting the HD via it's UUID. I also tried via it's device       designator. Using the same FSTAB file contents works ok with V14.10 of Ubuntu.              Still checking out the OS installation. I haven't installed any BBS or service       applications yet. Looks like I will be going back to v14.10 for now.              Jeff              --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-2        * Origin: The OuijaBoard - Anoka, MN (1:282/1031)    |
