   Hi Jeff,

   >>> the video will be a modest PCIe card with 2G onboard. I realize that
   >>>BBBS depends alot on the OS for hardware compatibility. But to the degree th
   >>> BBBS interacts with the PC hardware itself I was curious if there are any
   >>>issues or limitations. I had noticed some minor issues with USB drivers and
   >>> issues with previous installs of Ubuntu. Anyone have any thoughts?

   >> Sounds like it will be a nice system :)

   >I have never been a PC game player. So I don't have a need for the best of the
   > best PC's. I have a PS3 when I get urge to blow sh.. Err.. crap up.

Lol, I can understand that :) I've never been much of a game player either..

   >> On my Ubuntu 12.04.5 linux system, I'm running the beta dada-2 here (I think
   >>you are also?).. and I've not had any problems with libs, etc. This system i
   >> pretty "new"... I think my other system died sometime last year. So anyway,
   >> yes, this is an HP's Envy beatsaudo with core I5, 2T for drive space, 11G
   >>mem... no problem with bbbs at all... I just copied the beta on the new syste
   >> and it "goes"

   > That's what counts. I still have my first PC that was(is) a 4.77Mhz 8088 with
   > 20M MFM drive. I ran one of the first versions of Wildcat on it. It had a
   > whopping 512K of ram. The current PC here will do 32 Gigs.

I forget what the max is on this box, but 11G seems fine over here...
somewhere here we have a box of old drives and yeah those 20 meg drives did
their job back then I think my first system was actually a Leading Edge
PC IIRC... with a 20M drive. Boy was that a long time ago :)

   Take care,
   Janis
