   Hi Ian,

Yes, that's why I thought it shouldn't matter.

   >I can poll both your nodes correctly. The difference between your entries and

   Yes.

   > Not sure what the correct nodelist syntax i
   > meant to be, but it appears I can poll correctly if there's an INA field but
   > not if there's not.

Well, to me it is preferable to use

    INA:|

but because of all the various methods used over the years, there is no one
"correct" way to list an internet node.

   >What's the correct syntax for the IBN field? You seem to have an alternate por
   > number listed, but Dallas has a FQDN listed.

I use a nonstandard and a standard port with INA: and IBN flags in the Z1C
   listing of the nodelist

     INA:filegate.net,IBN,IBN:24555

The above states filegate.net is available both on the standard port and port
24555 for binkp. If you look in the nodelist at my 1:0/0 listing that's where
I grabbed that INA: line from.

   >Also, I see I'm listed without a INA field - perhaps I should get that changed

That would make connections easier for systems that run BBBS, and probably
easier for other mailers that support INA:

   Take care,
   Janis
