Not always but the majority of the time an incoming IP will open up       telnet       Sessions on all available nodes. BBBS is hardcoded to wait for 4 minutes for a       login        before closing the node. This happens every 3-5 minutes lately. I have       blocking IP,s       in BBBS but the IP,s come in faster than I can add them. Most from China so       far.              >another is to block the remote at the firewall automatically... my system does       >this based on the DoS (Denial of Service) factor where the remote has attempte       > to load all my available nodes and deny service to others... more than X       > connect attempts within Y time results in a block being issued...              Im looking at some third party firewall solutions that support DoS and       connection       limiting. Since Windows itself doesn't have thos capabilities.              > )\/(ark              Jeff              --- BBBS/NT v4.10 Dada-1        * Origin: The Ouija Board - bbs.ouijabrd.net (1:282/1031)    |
