   Hi Janis,

Ah, I already set up bbbs bogus a/r/w through the crontab of my bbbs user.

   > You can run bbbs's built in binkp mailer. You can call it like this in a

Heh, now that you mention it, I found the part in the documentation of bbbsd
regarding "binkp" and rawd. That was the part I missed when starting the
daemon. Do I need to do node remapping for tcp/ip nodes? Or is this handled by
the entries in the compiled nodelist?

   > You don't have to run all of bbbs's daemons of course, I don't run them all
   > .

I plan to run just fidonet and maybe a few selected qwk networks. None of that
modern 'web' stuff everyone is going bananas about these days .

I purchased a 2+5 node license back in 2009, but at that time the first
incarnation of my little bbs was just finished so I never bothered to acutally
use bbbs. But earlier this year I got in touch with my zone coordinator and
got my first node address ever. And with fidonet at hand I think bbbs is the
better choice. And I do all of this just for fun ...

   >I also run BinkD, Dimi Malof's binkp mailer on the standard binkp port (24554)
   >I use a java program I wrote to move some people's traffic to my binkd/filebox
   > directory for those nodes.

Got that installed and set up for backup purposes. But its not running right
now. See, now that I got the internal binkd server running, things looke good.
I was able to query aeafix on my uplink node and the reply came in as expected.

One more question: is it possible to change the polling interval of the daemon
or is this a static setting?

   Kind regards,
   Niels
