Hawking on this one.               Which bit that he's said? The bit that it's foolish for naive and       undeveloped in spacefaring a race as our own to be broadcasting to the stars?        I haven't heard anything that he's said about Ceres in particular just yet. No       doubt I'll have to do a websearch as soon as my computer is done swapping here.        Or did he have to say something also about the likelihood of a race trying to       contact our own? I can't remember which one it was that said it, but I find       some credence with the thought that any race available to travel interstellarly       would probably take a look at what we're doing and say "Yeah, no, let's       consider this a flyover system," if not "Hey, all they're doing is killing each       other, we can put these resources to much better use!"       --- SBBSecho 2.27-OpenBSD        * Origin: Tinfoil.synchro.net - now at FTN (1:340/200) (1:340/200)    |
