Good news-bad news:              Unfortunately....only `good' news is acceptable in here, so to get the        `bad' news, you'll have it elsewhere.              Here's the `good' news (well...not `good' news for everyone, I'm afraid):              It seems the Sun has had another completely spotless period in June, and        there are few spots now.              And according to scientists, a spotless Sun is a sign that the next solar       minimum is coming. The last one is known as the "Maunder Minimum" between        1645 and 1715. Known as `the little Ice Age', it produced a string of very       cold winters in the Northern hemisphere. Scientists are wondering if we        will see a similar situation in the next few years.               Interesting.       --- SBBSecho 2.27-Win32        * Origin: Telnet://valhalla.synchro.net - Richmond, Virginia (1:275/93)    |
