   Well, I generally don't like dead horse on my pizza, beaten or unbeaten, but    
   for the sake of "precision..."  We do eat "flat" pizza here in Chicago.  In    
   fact we eat FAR more than deep-dish, which is more expensive, takes longer,    
   and is best enjoyed at the restaurant.  So when we order a pizza it's NOT    
   deep-dish unless specified.   
      
   Eg. "Hey let's get a pizza!"   
   "Where from?"   
   "How about Lou's?"   
   "Can we get the deep-dish?"   
      
   In which case it's NAME is "deep-dish pizza."  So "pizza" is part of the    
   name, not necessarily a "food description."   
      
   Tell me, Amy, does "Egg Cream" get you similarly riled up?!
