   The mass of zombies grabbing at a person used to freak me out, perhaps   
   just my fear of large numbers of people.  Doesn't so much anymore and   
   I think speeding zombies up helped reduce that fear somehow.  The dead-   
   but-human aspect is interesting, especially as it developed with the   
   genre into "having to kill friends and family."  The best films are   
   metaphor heavy - perhaps too heavy.  And, of course, any excuse for an   
   apocalypse is OK with me.

   There has been a slow progression from monster to pale humans which   
   needs to be reversed.  Some try but it never seems to take.
