Far be it from me to argue with Harlan, but when he analogized his
feeling to that of a dog knowing it was time, I thought, no they don't
know. They just know that unless something *else* happens, it's time.
We have modern medicine. There's not always something that can be done,
but it wouldn't surprise me if there was.
If it's time to stop going to cons, that's a different matter. He's
within his rights, and I'd understand that.
-K, who no longer goes to cons, but obviously not for the same reason,
not being a great author, but just a fan.
