   The problem is that the film does treat the original series rather   
   well... but it does sort (theoretically) delete all the spin-off   
   shows... some for good, some for bad.

   The only massive problem I see is wiping out the Vulcans (and Star   
   Fleet).   
   That's going to change the future a lot more than they're going to   
   pretend in the sequels.
