   of directors who have artistic vision and control.   
   Babylon 5 with a writer/showrunner was certainly an auteur-like

   Well, his code turned out to have been that he had a Minbari soul and   
   that was the reason he talked like a Minbari.  Sinclair was wrapped in   
   mysteries.  Garibaldi wasn't.

   It sounds to me like he had a difficulty with a difficult character.
