   I always thought Star Trek should use something like a portal toilet. A    
   transporter toilet. You don't need little private stalls, you wouldn't    
   even need to partially disrobe. You just stand in front of the unit and    
   press the bladder or bowel button, and presto, the contents are    
   transported directly to wherever they store such things on starships.    
   Or perhaps to the Romulan Neutral Zone.   
      
   A similar thing would make birth much easier on women. As soon as there    
   is a twinge of labor indicating that the baby is ready, you hit the    
   uterus button and baby, fluid, and placenta are deposited in a tidy    
   plastic bin, to be removed, tidied up, etc.
