The Westerns        program was more about the shows themselves. The issue I'm having with        the whole Pioneers of Television series is that there doesn't seem to be        a consistent point of view or an adequate explanation of the point of        view for a particular genre. In some genres, it's the show        creators/runners who we identify with; in others, it's the show itself        (can you tell me who created Gunsmoke or Bonanza? Did you know that Sam        Peckinpah created The Rifleman? I sure as heck didn't).              As I said earlier, I agree that Outer Limits wouldn't qualify based on        the criteria used for the creation of this particular review of science        fiction on TV; I just thought it was odd that it didn't even get a name        check as a precursor.              Blair       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32        * Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:14/400)    |
