   I think by "pioneers" they meant Allen, Roddenberry and Serling.   
      
   I find the Pioneers series interesting but shallow. They just revisit    
   nostalgic classics, and don't go deeply into anything. The Twilight Zone    
   was not the first serious TV anthology series. See Tales of Tomorrow    
   many years earlier, available on DVD and various archives.
