    From what I've been able to find out, it appears that it was    
   syndication only, which would have limited its reach, and probably    
   disqualifies it from "pioneer" status (beyond any influence it might    
   have had on Serling, et al, since it predates TZ). I do agree that the    
   concept of the show and its apparent commitment to the genre would    
   qualify it as a pioneer.   
      
   I did find some clips (appearances by DeForest Kelley in several    
   episodes), and they don't look bad from a production standpoint. I    
   haven't been able to find any writer credits, though, so I don't know if    
   they took the step that Serling and Roddenberry did to bring some    
   authentic genre writers into the production.
