   Who was the auteur of "The Outer Limits"? I haven't the foggiest, and   
   I think that's the problem. You can talk about the show's individual   
   episodes, but, apart from the cheesy "Control Voice" shtick, what   
   identity did the show ever have?   
   If I were producing "Pioneers", I would more likely have looked at   
   "Science Fiction Theater".
