No, I just don't watch "Mad Men" and misremembered the name.
I only knew he lived in Ossining because it is impossbile not to know
SOMETHING about "Mad Men". It is one of those pop-culture things that
worms its way into your brain through sheer webmosis if you spend any
time on-line. It is like knowing a little about that HBO vampire show
(and the one on the CW and those movies) and the associated books even
though I've never seen a frame or read a word of any of them, or being
vaguely aware that these "Housewives" shows exist, or knowing what a
Snooki (sp?) or a J-Wow or a "Situation" are. (Obviously I'm not
comparing these things in quality, only in ubiquitousness <--- is that
a word?) Bits and pieces about all of these things show up in close
proximity to things I'm actually interested in often enough that I'm
burdened with all sorts of information I'd just as soon not have.
(Although I keep meaning to add "Mad Men" to my Netflix queue, because
everyone recommends it. That is not the case with the other examples
I mentioned above. In fact, I was horrified to see that "The Jersey
Shore" is out on DVD. Sure, there's a certain morbid "can't stop
looking at the train wreck" fascination that can take hold of a
channel surfer who comes across the show when it airs, but what kind
of brain-damaged meth head would spend good money to buy the thing to
   watch over-and-over. On purpose?)
   Regards,
