Time for some shameless self-promotion!              Bah & the Humbugs, America's premier satiric Christmas rock band (of which        I'm a member), is back, this year with a 25th anniversary tribute album! We        couldn't actually round up 25 bands willing to cover us, so the band itself        is masquerading as 25 different bands, performing 25 different songs in 25        (mostly) distinct styles. It's 25 songs on 2 CDs, for $25 (shipping is        free).              As we do every year, we're donating 100% of the proceeds from album sales to        the United Nations World Food Programme. You can order the album and feed        the hungry by going to the album's website and clicking "Buy Now":        http://www.fjordstone.com/bah/bigger_than_santa/index.html              Or, you can send $25 to me via PayPal, using the address: bah@fjordstone.com              You can even donate directly to the World Food Programme, email us a copy of        your receipt for a donation of $25 or more, and we'll send you the album.        Here's where to donate: http://usa.wfp.org/donate              If you want to hear some samples, we've been posting free songs throughout        the season, here:              http://www.fjordstone.com/bah/download.html              The latest free song posted is "Frostbite," a perverse but mostly harmless        little song by a Celtic soundscape/new age artist called Myrrhna. She may        sound vaguely familiar. In fact, most of the bands may sound vaguely        familiar. You can probably guess the inspirations for most of them, but if        not, email me and I'll let you know who they're supposed to be. :-)              You can also look for hints on the album's website, where we have posted bios        for the fake bands, as well as some of their album art.              Enjoy, have fun, share the links with your humor-loving friends, and help us        feed the hungry!              Amy, Humbug Quarter-Century Club       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32        * Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:14/400)    |
