|    SpaceX rocket explodes and endangers air    |

MSGID: 2:292/854 161e4a1f       TZUTC: 0100        A failed rocket launch by SpaceX, Elon Musk's aerospace company, last January       endangered several passenger planes, The Wall Street Journal reports. The       unmanned rocket exploded during a test flight.               Documents from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) show that SpaceX       did not immediately report the explosion to air traffic control. This       endangered three passenger planes over the Caribbean.               The crew of a JetBlue flight to San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, was       reportedly told they could only continue their flight at their own risk.               Debris flew through the air for nearly an hour, according to the newspaper.       Air traffic controllers in Miami only learned of the debris when the pilots       told them to navigate through it. At least one of the planes reportedly made       an emergency landing in San Juan.               SpaceX has responded to the article on X. The company calls it a false story       and emphasizes that no plane was endangered.              --- DB4 - 20230201        * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854)       SEEN-BY: 80/1 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 134 206 317 400 426 428       SEEN-BY: 229/470 664 700 705 280/464 291/111 292/854 2226 8125 301/1       SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848       SEEN-BY: 902/26 5001/100 5075/35       PATH: 292/854 229/426           |
