|    No A220 production increase    |
|    30 Oct 25 00:32:25    |
MSGID: 2:292/854 082a373d       TZUTC: 0200        Airbus posted a profit of 1.94 billion Euro for the third quarter of 2025.       This is significantly higher than expected. The aircraft manufacturer is       seeing healthy demand for aircraft, but has decided to postpone the planned       production increase for the A220 series for the time being.               Both the commercial aircraft division, the defense branch, and the helicopter       arm performed well in the past three months. Revenue increased by 14 percent,       reaching €17.8 billion.               Airbus previously indicated its intention to increase A220 production to 14       units per month. This will now happen no sooner than the end of 2026, meaning       that for the time being, 12 units will roll off the production line each month       in Montreal, Canada, and Mobile, USA. In a statement, Airbus stated that it is       responding to "the balance between supply and demand."               The European aircraft manufacturer has now delivered more than 450 A220s,       which are in service with AirBaltic, SWISS, Air Canada, and Delta Air Lines,       among others.               Airbus aims to produce no fewer than 75 units of the A320neo series per month       by 2027, compared to approximately 60 currently.               A330neo production will remain stable, gradually increasing from 4 to 5 units       per month between now and 2029. The A350 series is expected to roll out of the       production line at 12 units per month by 2028.               Airbus must strive to meet its 2025 delivery target in the final three months.       The aircraft manufacturer had targeted 820 aircraft, but has now just       surpassed the 500 mark.               Airbus's quarterly profit significantly outperformed its major rival, Boeing.       The American aircraft manufacturer suffered a billion-dollar loss, mainly due       to a significant write-down on the delayed 777X program.              --- DB4 - 20230201        * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854)       SEEN-BY: 80/1 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 317 400 426 428 470 664       SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 280/464 291/111 292/854 2226 8125 301/1 320/219       SEEN-BY: 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26       SEEN-BY: 5001/100 5075/35       PATH: 292/854 229/426           |
