|    Delta flight ejects unruly passenger    |
|    08 May 23 18:03:56    |
MSGID: 2:292/854 18084044       TZUTC: 0200        A Delta flight from Detroit to Amsterdam made an unscheduled stop in Boston       over the weekend because a passenger misbehaved. After being disembarked by       the police, the A330 was able to continue its journey with a three-hour delay.               The incident was particularly annoying for the other passengers because it       involved a night flight that departed from Detroit Friday evening. The       aircraft had only been in the air for an hour when the pilots decided to       divert. The Airbus was then on the ground for more than two hours.               Delta does not want to say exactly what the passenger did. But in a statement       to American media, the airline says it has a "zero tolerance" policy for       misconduct on board. Delta apologizes to passengers on flight DL134 for the       delay.               Due to the incident, the return flight to Detroit, DL135, was also delayed for       hours, as a result of which hundreds more travelers were duped.               Nuisance passengers are a regular problem, often under the influence of       alcohol. At the end of March, a KLM Boeing 777 had to turn back to Amsterdam       over Iceland because of an aggressive person on board. After the return the       other occupants were over five hours in the air for nothing. As the crew would       have gone over their maximum time, a relief crew was summoned, the plane       refueled, re-catered and was on its way again to Calgary with a 10 hour delay       ... returning passengers were also delayed ... of course.              --- DB4 - 20230201        * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 80/1 90/1 105/81 106/201 123/131 129/305 153/7715       SEEN-BY: 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 113 307 317 400 426 428       SEEN-BY: 229/470 664 700 280/464 282/1038 292/854 8125 301/1 317/3       SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848       PATH: 292/854 229/426           |
