|    Biometric identity checks in Atlanta ATL    |
|    22 Sep 18 13:50:27    |
Delta Air Lines starts later this year with the first 'biometric terminal' of       the United States. Passengers traveling to an international destination can       therefore travel through Terminal F at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta       International Airport using facial recognition, from the entrance to the gate.               Face recognition will be applied at check-in counters, baggage delivery,       security check and when entering the aircraft. In addition, international       travelers arriving at Terminal F can pass passport control using facial       recognition.               Not only Delta Air Lines passengers, but also KLM, Air France, Virgin Atlantic       and Aeromexico partner airlines can use the technology.               Passengers who want to walk 'biometrically' through the terminal must enter       passport data during online check-in. Then they have to pass a checkpoint in       the lobby of Terminal F for a quick facial. Travelers who do not need       biometric controls can, as usual, pass the checkpoints.               Passengers traveling Terminal F also benefit from the presence of special CT       scanners at two automated control gates where it is no longer necessary to       remove electronic equipment from the hand luggage.              --- D'Bridge 3.99 SR33        * Origin: AVIATION HQ (2:292/854)    |
