Hawaiian Airlines will start direct flights between Honolulu and Boston this       summer season. With an average flight time of 11 hours, this will be the       longest domestic service in the United States, and also one of the longest in       the world.               The Hawaii-based airline uses an Airbus A330-200 on the route five times a       week, with room for 18 passengers in First Class and 260 in Economy. The       Airbus takes more than ten hours on the flight in an easterly direction and       almost twelve hours in a westerly direction.               The route Honolulu - Boston is 8200 kilometers long and is therefore almost       200 kilometers longer than Honolulu - New York JFK, which is currently the       longest domestic route in the United States. It is also operated by Hawaiian.               Worldwide, Paris CDG - Réunion (9400 km) remains the longest inland shipping       service.              --- D'Bridge 3.99 SR33        * Origin: AVIATION HQ (2:292/854)    |
