   Interesting. The last time I saw something like that was in my dad's 1948   
   Pontiac Silver Streak. The rear heater was located under the passenger   
   side of the front seat. I don't recall seeing an auxillery pump though.

    MH> heater core.  For the time being, I bypassed it with a 5/8" coupler
