That's what I ultimately did and I didn't think of calling road service at the
time. But I did buy one of those 2-ton hydraulic jacks for the suburban.

RW> Yeah, but you don't get to change the battery in the remote when it
    RW> quits working. 8^)

   I wouldn't anyway.

RN>>> point in the near future. [...]

    RW>>> LOL! Sure he will.

RN>> No. This guy is different. He's one of those rare people who, when
RN>> they tell you they're going to do something, they do.

    RW>> Ok...we'll see.

RN> "Skeptic? I trust you have proof!" (-:

    RW> Is it fixed yet?

No. He's working on my Mark VIII this week in his spare time and will get to
it when he finishes (if he wants to get paid). (-:

RN> Do you run the engine regularly?

RW> No. The car is equipped with a Deltran Battery Tender.

What good does that do the engine unless you prepared it to sit up for a long
   time?

RW>>> That helps to pad their wallets... 8^)

    RN> I'm on to that.

RW> Having been a 'dealer' employee, I'll bet you are. 8^)

Things weren't that way back then. We were straight with the customers, which
probably explains why we were open 24-hours.

RN>> This guy was recommended to me years ago (in my other lifetime in

RN>> go to the DMV for a copy. (-|

RW> I've heard that story before.

Don't worry. You'll be the Fourth person to know about the Benz.
   1. The DMV
   2. The SIL
   3. Me
   4. You. (-:
