In the rain, snow, cold, in the work parking lot, etc.              Been there, done that. I was 27yo before I was able to escape that kind of       weather for a much warmer climate. Replaced the muffler on my 55 Chevy       while laying in the ice and snow on a city street after it fell off.       Double jumpered (two batteries) that Chevy when it got so cold it wouldn't       turn over.              The final kicker was during a December sleet and snow storm, I had to       change a flat tire on my brand new (9 months) 65 Malibu while dressed in       my tux pants and white shirt on my wedding night. When I got my T&D       Journeyman's Certification in Jan 66, I began to look for work in CA and       AZ through the Chicago Tribune's Help Wanted Column...finally landed a job       in Seattle for a dollar an hour more than I was making at the time. That       was a lot closer to CA than Illinois and the winter we spent there wasn't       that bad, but CA was still the dream. We moved to San Diego in March of       67...               MH> I had a slowly failing starter and about 25% of the time, it wouldn't        MH> even crank at all. I had to get under the car with a pole and hit        MH> the starter a few times - and then it would start.              LOL! Been there too.               MH> That is loads of fun in dress cloths. Never seems to happen when I'm        MH> wearing old ratty cloths.              That never fails to amaze me...I used to keep a pair of coveralls in the       car for such occasions. Don't do that anymore with such reliable       transporation these days.               RW>> Sounds like it.               MH> I do know the new radiator is aluminum. I took a good look at it        MH> today. The overflow was actually low, so I added some coolant.              Are the tanks aluminum or plastic?              [Pep Boys Tow]               MH> Pep Boys figures they will pay for the majority of your towing to get        MH> your service business. They normally charge $39.99 to any Pep Boys        MH> location, but with my Pep Boys club card it is only $19.99.              Ahhh, so it works something like AAA then.               MH> That tow was about 20 miles or so. Not bad for $19.99. :)              A very good price, actually.                      R\%/itt                      ...
