If this was after the intake manifold leak, it could be that the engine
sealer used to fix it wasn't 'O2 sensor safe', meaning that the silicon in
the non-safe sealer has ruined the O2 sensor...

Does it have more than one wire? If not, it's not heated, other than by
   engine exhaust.

RW>> Insulation? No. Sealed connectors, no. Cars with non-sealed

RW>> on them) no. At least not as long as they weren't hot wires touching

That shouldn't give you any problems. If it does, just open the wire
connectors and use a little bit of compressd air to remove any moisture.

RW>> I put a high performance Granateli MAF in my Z28 back in
RW>> 2001/02...it's still going and I also kept the original, stored in

MH> I do the same thing. When I replace a working part, I save it in

Sometimes I wish I didn't have that habit. Moving from CA to TX and
packing all of those 'spare' parts took up a lot of time and moving van
room. Then I made the mistake of 'unpacking' them and now I have a bunch
of it to move out to the storage shed to make room for my verticle mill...
