   I was made aware of that when I sold the house a year later. For some odd   
   reason the FTB wanted me to pay them $7000 for the priviledge of owning   
   that house so they could make a profit from it too. They throw out threats   
   of property seizures, money seizures and if I were to travel back to CA   
   and happen to be stopped by the CHP, they'd probably want to impound my   
   vehicle and take any cash and credit cards out of my wallet. They have   
   made me glad that I no longer live in a police state where they prove   
   the old axiom of "Might makes Right" to their citizens on a daily basis.   
   Thankfully, Texas won't give them the time of day, let alone allow them to   
   attach any property I have here.
