The mechanic that installed the motor said the same       thing. The only odd thing is my original motor didn't do that.               I would rather have a few seconds of tapping vs. antifreeze leaking all down       the block. :)               My original motor had corrosion on both the head and lower intake manifold. It       was allowing antifreeze to leak around the gasket. They have no idea how that       could have happened to the aluminum head.               I blame the Dexcool - as they caused loads of problems with gaskets when it       first hit the market.
